DB2 LUW Migration SME Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in IT industry
• Db2 LUW (for Linux/Unix/Windows) DBA
• Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, and Migration
• Provide technical expertise for the Database due diligence, Migration/Modernization consultation and Planning,
• Expertise on defining the Migration Approach, DB2 Native or Cloud native migration utilities and Tools,
• Perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage during migrations.
• Perform the proficient role that requires Database Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting on the databases with recent DB2 versions.
• Extend the required technical support for all issues related to Db2 Database(s) during the migration/transformation events.
• Working with a cloud pure scale database and maintaining it.
• Working on automation of dba activities.
• Conceptualize and verbalize the benefits of technology in solving real business problems.
• Mentor developers to help them solve problems and grow, especially as it relates to the database.
• Create, communicate, and maintain best practices and coding standards for the team.
• Work with multiple technologies and in projects with high complexity.

• Working knowledge on Db2 LUW (UDB) setup and configuration (Single and Multi Partition)
• Experience in Db2 administration on Linux environments
• Solid understanding the AIX, Linux and basic OS concepts
• Hands-on experience with creating/maintaining/optimizing a database
• Working knowledge on designing High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systems with Power HA / TSA
• In-depth knowledge on Cloud infrastructure (IBM/Aws/Azure) along with DB optimisation / application optimisation
• Proficient in Performance Tuning, defining Stored Procedure & triggers
• Ability to understand application
• Managing and Administering Cloud based relational Database solutions
• Data migration from on-premise databases to Cloud based database platforms.
• Exposure to Azure,AWS and Google technology Stacks with experience in provisioning
• Experience in tools such as AWS DMS, AWS SCT, Azure Database Migration Service, Google Cloud Data

Migration Service to migrate database:

• Develop migration playbooks / runbooks- Conduct POCs and develop POVs for new migration tools based on client requirements.
• Ability to plan hardware capacity requirements for storage, memory and CPU Cycles
• Good to have knowledge on MongoDB, Oracle and SQL databases
