Job Description

Looking to onboard a skilled DB2 DBA with 12-26 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database administration, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibility

Administer one or more relational databases, including DB2, MS SQL, ORACLE, etc.
Perform performance tuning and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
Migrate databases between different flavors and across platforms.
Upgrade database versions proficiently.
Engage with application development and support teams.
Mentor and train less experienced peers.

Job Requirements

At least 12 years of experience as a DBA.
Expertise in interpreting customer needs and translating them into written requirements.
Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data for well-reasoned recommendations and decisions.
Proven knowledge of database migration and performance tuning.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.
Technical experience with Mainframe Technologies - DB2, COBOL, and JCL.
