DB2 Database SME on zOS- Assistant Vice President

Role Overview: As an experienced DB2 DBA at Markets and Securities Services Technology - Custody Application, SECORE, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) providing hands-on expertise and theoretical knowledge. Your role will involve acting as the primary liaison between the Application Development Team and CTI DBAs, bringing industry best practices and strong technical skills to understand database strategy and industry trends. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a SME for all matters related to DB2 database for Custody Application, SECORE - Demonstrate in-depth expertise on DB2 Utilities, including backup and recovery using FlashCopy - Provide advisory support in designing and implementing changes from Application development teams across distributed locations - Adhere to defined standards and best practices for managing and supporting DB2 Databases in development and production subsystems - Collaborate with CTI to manage and implement Application changes through various environments - Ensure that delivered Database changes are appropriately sized, tested, monitored, and managed - Offer expertise to Production Support and Migration Team to resolve DB2 failures and optimize application performance - Conduct regular health checks on all Custody Application, SECORE Databases - Develop and deliver solutions to support application development and reduce costs Qualifications Required: - 8-13 years of DB2 experience - Strong IT background within the Banking Industry with end-to-end experience in Service Delivery - Good knowledge of JCL, COBOL, REXX, TWS, File Aid, and CA Platinum DB2 Tools - Experience in performance tuning of batch and online applications - Sound understanding of DB2 database architecture, including schemas, tables, views, packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints - Demonstrated expertise in DB2 within a large-scale organization - Highly motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a distributed team setting - Self-motivated and capable of working independently on projects - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Desirable Skill: - DB2 Certified Professional or comparable qualifications Note: The additional details of the company have been omitted as they were not present in the provided job description.,
