Key Responsibilities

• Server & OS Management

• Administer Linux (CentOS/RHEL) and Windows environments, including LVM and multipathing.
• Perform OS-level parameter changes, hardening, and patching (Linux & Windows).
• Prepare technical documentation (HLD, LLD, SOP, As-Built, Handover).
• Provision OS instances using automation tools for patching and agent installation.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability.

• Hardware & Storage

• Manage server hardware (HP, Cisco, Dell) and storage systems (HPE, Dell, NetApp).
• Configure SAN switches, zoning, and LUN mapping.
• Handle disk initialization, volume creation, and multipathing configuration.
• Troubleshoot storage performance issues and manage backup/restoration processes.

• Virtualization & Cloud

• Install, configure, and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vCloud Suite.
• Perform hardening, upgrades, and RCA analysis using vROPS.
• Provision VMs via VMware private cloud or OpenStack.
• Work with NSX, vSAN, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Implement automation using Python, Ansible, YAML, or Ceph.

• Collaboration & Compliance

• Coordinate with network, security, database teams, and vendors for seamless operations.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (CentOS/RHEL), Windows, and virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack).
• Knowledge of server hardware, storage systems, SAN configuration, and backup solutions.
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, YAML).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and deliver under tight timelines.
