Database Architect

Role Overview: At Network Science, you will play a crucial role as a Database Architect in the AI Platform Engineering team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the integrity, availability, and scalability of data on our AI platforms and SaaS products. By designing and optimizing enterprise-grade databases, you will contribute significantly to the success of our high-performance applications and secure global deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize databases for AI-enabled platforms and SaaS products - Build scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures using relational and NoSQL technologies - Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to translate use cases into data models and pipelines - Own and optimize ETL workflows for efficient data movement - Implement data governance, security, and backup strategies - Ensure readiness for real-time and batch processing for AI applications - Support data access layers, caching strategies, and indexing policies for API performance - Troubleshoot database bottlenecks and drive optimization initiatives - Define and enforce data architecture standards and documentation Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in database design, architecture, and administration - Deep expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB - Strong experience with ETL processes and data pipeline design - Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization/denormalization, and schema design - Proficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization - Familiarity with cloud-native databases like AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and GCP Firestore - Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions and geographies - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Additional Company Details: At Network Science, you will be part of a team that is successfully building the Operating System for the Enterprise AI World.
