Database Administrator - PostgreSQL/MariaDB/MongoDB

You should possess a B. / B. Tech degree in any specialization or MCA, along with a DBA certification or related certifications. Your expertise should include working with relational databases such as PostGres, MariaDB, and nonrelational databases like MongoDB. You must excel in database design, normalization, and optimization, with a strong knowledge of SQL and query optimization. Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures, high availability, disaster recovery solutions, database security, and access control is essential. Your proven track record should demonstrate your ability to manage and maintain large-scale databases, both on-premises and in cloud-based environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to database performance and scalability are required. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the design and implementation of scalable and secure database solutions that align with organizational needs. You will collaborate with IT and development teams to support the development of reliable and efficient database architectures. Enforcing standards across development and production environments, managing and maintaining operational health of production and non-production databases, performing routine maintenance tasks, and implementing disaster recovery plans are key aspects of your role. Ensuring database security through access control, encryption, and secure configurations, monitoring for unauthorized access, and supporting compliance initiatives are crucial responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing database workloads, optimizing SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans, participating in capacity planning, and collaborating with developers to review and optimize database schemas and application queries. Coordinating the deployment of database updates, supporting migration and integration efforts, monitoring database performance, generating health check reports, and maintaining accurate documentation for database configurations, maintenance procedures, and incident resolutions are also part of your duties. Tech degree in any specialization or MCA, a DBA certification or related certifications, and at least 7 years of experience in design, implementation, and management of database systems.
