Database Administrator

As a PostgreSQL DBA at PibyThree Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd., your role involves administering, maintaining, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience. You will also be responsible for managing and monitoring Cassandra databases for distributed and high-availability applications. Additionally, you will automate routine tasks using Bash scripting or other relevant tools and deploy and manage database environments on Kubernetes clusters. Your duties will include implementing and maintaining backup, recovery, and security procedures, monitoring database performance, and troubleshooting performance issues. Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to design scalable database solutions is a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases (minimum 2 years of hands-on experience). - Manage and monitor Cassandra databases for distributed and high-availability applications. - Automate routine tasks using Bash scripting or other relevant tools. - Deploy and manage database environments on Kubernetes clusters. - Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and security procedures. - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance issues. - Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design scalable database solutions. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator across various database platforms. - At least 2 years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration experience. - Proven expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, and HA solutions. - Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation. - Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments. - Familiarity with Apache Cassandra architecture and operations. - Strong SQL skills and query optimization experience. - Experience with backup/recovery tools (pg_dump, pg_basebackup, WAL archiving). - Hands-on with monitoring and alerting tools. - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.,
