Database Administrator

As a ClickHouse Database Specialist, your role involves helping to build production-grade systems based on ClickHouse. You will be advising on how to design schemas, plan clusters, and work on environments ranging from single node setups to clusters with hundreds of nodes. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing guidance on building cloud-based, managed ClickHouse services - Working on infrastructure projects related to ClickHouse - Improving ClickHouse itself by fixing bugs, enhancing documentation, creating test cases, etc. - Conducting research on new usage patterns, ClickHouse functions, and integration with other products - Engaging with the community through platforms like GitHub, Stack Overflow, and Telegram - Installing multiple node clusters, configuring, backing up, recovering, and maintaining ClickHouse databases - Monitoring and optimizing database performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness - Troubleshooting database issues and identifying/resolving performance bottlenecks - Designing and implementing database backup and recovery strategies - Developing and implementing database security policies and procedures - Collaborating with development teams to optimize database schema design and queries - Providing technical guidance and support to development and operations teams - Handling support calls from customers using ClickHouse, which includes diagnosing problems, designing applications, deploying/upgrading ClickHouse, and operations Your qualifications for this role should include experience with big data stack components like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Nifi, as well as knowledge of SRE/DevOps stacks monitoring/system management tools such as Prometheus, Ansible, ELK. Additionally, you should have experience with data science/data analysis, version control using git, and a strong understanding of database operations and management.,
