As a Database Administrator III at our company, your role will involve a variety of responsibilities related to SQL Server Administration, HA/DR Administration, database migration, performance analysis, database design, development, maintenance, and more. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - SQL Servers Administration: - Log maintenance, truncating databases logs, trimming SQL back up - Tuning of queries - Configure and Monitor Automation tasks like backups, rebuild-reorg indexes, stats job, clear history, integrity check - HA/DR Administration: - Review synchronization - Review AG Dashboard for health - Implementing a secure environment: - Ensure no explicit user access - Utilize AD domain/groups for access control - Reviewing Data Platform resources: - Analyze CPU, Memory, and Storage usage - Ability to analyze performance bottlenecks - Migrating databases: - Move databases from earlier SQL Server versions to the current SQL Server version - Creating databases and running commands and scripts in SQL - Installing and configuring SQL Server agents on various SQL database servers - Planning storage space requirements for optimum I/O performance - Tuning databases by creating efficient store procedures and T-SQL statements - Designing, developing, and maintaining reports using report services (SSRS) - Performing backup and restoration of databases - Troubleshooting and resolving user problems - Developing monitoring scripts and DBA tool scripts for daily tasks - Creating various T-SQL store procedures, functions, views, and modifying tables for data extraction, transformation, load, and reporting - Supporting database administrators in troubleshooting and resolving connectivity problems - Performing other DBA activities including space management and performance monitoring Additionally, you will be required to obtain the MS SQL Server Administrator (DP-300 Certification) within 12 months of joining our team.
