Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist, your role involves working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain a deep understanding of the business context and key questions. You will be responsible for creating Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and guiding them through production deployment and operationalization. Additionally, you will play a key role in influencing the machine learning strategy for Digital programs and projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Making solution recommendations that balance speed to market and analytical soundness effectively - Exploring design options to enhance efficiency and impact, and developing approaches to improve robustness and rigor - Developing analytical and modeling solutions using various commercial and open-source tools such as Python, R, and TensorFlow - Formulating model-based solutions by combining machine learning algorithms with other techniques like simulations - Designing, adapting, and visualizing solutions based on evolving requirements and effectively communicating them through presentations, scenarios, and stories - Creating algorithms to extract information from large, multiparametric data sets and deploying them to production for actionable insights - Comparing results from different methodologies and recommending optimal techniques - Leading discussions at peer reviews and using interpersonal skills to positively influence decision-making - Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise in machine learning techniques, tools, and concepts - Facilitating the sharing of new ideas, learnings, and best practices across different geographies Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering at a minimum - Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Data Scientist - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a combination of business focus and programming knowledge - Advanced skills in statistical/programming software like R, Python, and data querying languages such as SQL, Hadoop/Hive, Scala - Hands-on experience in feature engineering and hyperparameter optimization - Proficiency in statistical concepts, ML algorithms, and Agile principles - Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS data management tools - Ability to lead, manage, and deliver customer business results through data scientists or professional services team - Self-motivated, proactive problem solver who can work independently and in teams,
