Job Description

Data Scientist – India (Remote | Hourly Contract | $14/hr)

Mercor is hiring Data Scientists for an hourly contract role to support experimentation, analytics, and model development for AI agent systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain data pipelines
  • Develop and evaluate ML models
  • Perform statistical analysis and A/B testing
  • Create dashboards and performance reports
  • Work with engineering and research teams on agent improvements
  • Support benchmarking and experimentation workflows

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Data Science / ML / Statistics
  • Python & SQL proficiency (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
  • Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience with large datasets (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Good understanding of model evaluation metrics
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Work Structure & Pay:

  • Hourly contract
  • $14/hr, paid weekly
  • Part-time (20–40 hrs/week)
  • Fully remote, flexible
