Job Description

Role Overview

Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI

Key Responsibilities

Generative AI & Model Development

Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate
Large Language Models (LLMs)
, diffusion models, and other generative architectures.
Build custom models for text generation, summarization, Q&A, image generation, speech, or code assistance.
Implement prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and model guardrails.

Data Science & Machine Learning

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and model selection.
Build predictive and analytical ML models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
Conduct A/B tests, hypothesis testing, and model performance evaluations.

MLOps & Deployment

Design scalable pipelines for training, deploying, and monitoring generative AI models.
Work with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker, or Databricks.
Ensure operational reliability, performance, and governance of AI systems.

Collaboration & Strategy

Partner with engineering, product, and domain teams to gather requirements and define AI use cases.
Translate complex model outputs into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to AI strategy, roadmap development, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Statistics, or related field. PhD is a plus.
5–10 years of experience in data science or machine learning roles.
Strong experience with
Python
,
PyTorch
,
TensorFlow
, and popular LLM frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API).
Hands-on experience with training/fine-tuning LLMs (LLaMA, GPT, Mistral, etc.).
Proficiency in building RAG pipelines, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma), and embeddings.
Strong understanding of NLP, deep learning, transformers, generative modeling, and evaluation metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience deploying GenAI applications to production.
Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
Understanding of model safety, bias mitigation, privacy, and responsible AI principles.
