Data Science Manager, gTech Ads Solutions

Role Overview: As a Data Science Manager in the Measurement Center of Excellence, you will lead a team of technical experts, utilizing Google's Machine Learning capabilities to build data science and measurement solutions for Large Customer Sales (LCS) clients. You will closely collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal teams. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of data scientists in applying best data science practices to solve marketing problems for ads customers, ultimately utilizing Google's Machine Learning capabilities to deliver innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of Data Scientists in delivering data science aspects of client engagements related to marketing effectiveness and portfolio management. - Develop a data science roadmap aligning with Data Science strategy and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Establish project goals, align individual expectations, coordinate resources, and provide technical leadership in line with long-term objectives. - Provide analytical thought leadership in Data Science and Measurement by making proactive and strategic contributions. - Influence stakeholders through effective presentations and written communication. - Collaborate with Product/Engineering teams to enhance and optimize capabilities of the Applied Data Science team, utilizing methods that drive innovation and scalability. Qualifications Required: - Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience. - 9 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, including coding in Python, R, SQL, querying databases, and statistical analysis. - 3 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role. - Experience in leading and evolving data science and engineering teams with strong technical skills. - Experience preparing and delivering presentations to executive leadership. - Ability to operate in a cross-functional organization emphasizing collaboration with other teams for success. - Proficiency in distilling analyses into data-driven narratives. - Excellent communication skills, especially in conveying technical and statistical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.,
