Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeller with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, data modeling, and metadata management.

Roles and Responsibility

Collaborate with IDP's Data Engineering and Governance team to analyze business needs and develop long-term solution data models.
Evaluate existing data systems and work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility and implement data strategies.
Update and optimize local and metadata models, and evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and optimize data systems, working with Product owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Software developers including Architects to build data models aligned with IDP's data vision.
Prepare and maintain training material, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation.
Take responsibility for outcomes.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Statistics.
5-8 years of experience in machine learning in production with evidence of successful delivery.
Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
Strong proficiency in SQL with extensive experience on cloud platforms such as AWS, including S3, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, and RDS.
Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to effectively present information, gain feedback, and respond to questions from senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers.
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.
Any Data Modeling certification is desirable.
