Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality data models that support business and analytics initiatives. Experience in the Wealth Management or Finance domain is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Design and maintain data models using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to assess data quality, structure, and relationships.
• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards and guidelines.
• Support data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data management policies.
• Collaborate with DBAs and developers to implement models across relational and non-relational databases.
• Review existing data models and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data modeling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data modeling and database design.
• Strong expertise in SQL, especially on Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with ODS, Data Warehouse design, and Dimensional Modeling.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as draw.io, ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
• Experience in Wealth Management / Finance domain is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
