• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document the organisation’s data requirements. This includes identifying business objectives, reporting needs, and future scalability considerations.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models tailored for various data storage solutions such as databases, data warehouses, and data marts. The modeller ensures that the models are scalable, robust, and aligned with business strategies.
• Define and document entities, attributes, primary and foreign keys, as well as relationships between data elements. The primary focus is on maintaining data

quality, referential integrity, and consistency across systems.

• Design data models that are optimised for efficient storage, high-speed retrieval, and overall performance. The modeller must balance redundancy with data access speed, ensuring minimal latency and cost-effectiveness
• Work in tandem with database administrators (DBAs) and data engineers to implement data models, support Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, and troubleshoot data integration challenges.
• Comprehensive representations of data requirements, relationships, and structures at varying levels of abstraction.
• Detailed documentation of data elements, their definitions, formats, and business meanings, supporting data governance and clarity.
• Visual representations of data movements and transformations across systems, aiding in process understanding and optimisation.
• Proficiency in data modelling techniques such as Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling. Strong command of SQL, familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL database systems, and a solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with leading data modelling tools such as Erwin, IBM InfoSphere, or equivalent modelling software to design and document data architectures effectively.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.In-depth knowledge of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and the complete data lifecycle, ensuring models adhere to organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
