Data Management & Enterprise Architecture Senior Consultant

Role & responsibilities

1. Client Engagement & Project Delivery:

• Lead and contribute to consulting engagements focused on Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Audit for clients across various industries.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, define project scope, and develop tailored solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and gather relevant data to analyze current states and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop detailed deliverables, Audit Plan, Risk Control Matrix, Audit Programs, Process Understanding documents, and audit reports..
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, exceeding client expectations.
• Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders, including senior management.

2. Data Management Expertise:

• Plan and execute IT audits covering Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Data Privacy, and Data Security.
• Review the organizations data management framework, policies, and standards to assess their adequacy and alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate processes related to data classification, data ownership, metadata management, data retention, and disposal, etc.
• Assess controls over data quality, accuracy, consistency, availability, and timeliness across critical business systems and data repositories.
• Review data integration, migration, and transformation processes for control effectiveness and risk exposure.

3. Enterprise Architecture (EA) Expertise:

• Plan and conduct IT audits with a specific focus on Enterprise Architecture (EA), including infrastructure, application architecture, data architecture, and technology platforms.
• Assess the effectiveness of EA governance structures, frameworks, and processes in aligning IT strategy with business objectives.
• Evaluate the adequacy of IT architecture design, documentation, and change management processes.
• Recommend improvements to IT governance, architecture management, technology lifecycle processes, and IT strategy alignment.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with emerging technology trends, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF and NORA) and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, Enterprise Architecture, and Business teams to enhance architecture-related internal controls and risk management practices.

4. IT Audit & Risk Management:

• Conduct comprehensive IT audits to assess the effectiveness of IT controls, compliance with policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Identify IT-related risks, vulnerabilities, and control deficiencies, providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls across various systems and processes.
• Advice on IT risk management frameworks and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in consulting or an equivalent industry role, with a strong focus on Data Management, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Audit.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and related processes.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, and NORA).
• Relevant certifications highly desirable (e.g., CISA, CISM, CDMP, TOGAF, ITIL).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.
