Data Expert

Role Overview: data42 is Novartis" groundbreaking initiative that utilizes R&D data to reimagine medicine by applying machine learning, artificial intelligence, and analytics to enhance understanding of disease and medicines, improve R&D decision-making, and revolutionize drug discovery and development. As a Data Expert, your primary responsibility will be to ensure data quality by developing and implementing data quality frameworks for the Data42 project. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, analyze clinical data for accuracy, and present data insights to stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the overall quality of data within the Data42 project. - Develop and implement a robust data quality framework for Data42. - Use artificial intelligence to compare data against established protocols and detect quality issues. - Analyze and interpret clinical data to ensure accuracy and reliability. - Develop and implement data quality standards and processes. - Apply statistical methods to support data validation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues. - Present data findings and insights to technical and non-technical audiences. - Work with various data types including Clinical Data, Real World Data, Genomic data, and Pre-Clinical data. - Maintain a high level of curiosity, motivation, and drive to ensure the quality of data provided to end-users. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; equivalent work experience may be accepted. - Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Experience with AI or a strong interest in AI. - Proficiency in data management and analysis tools. - 4+ years of IT experience, with 2+ years in Data Engineering on Big Data platforms. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Experience building scalable solutions and pipelines on big data platforms. - Hands-on experience on Palantir Foundry Platform (preferred). - Knowledge of AI/ML concepts with hands-on experience. - Fluency in English (Oral and Written). - Understanding of Clinical Data structure (CDISC). - Familiarity with Big Data Platforms, Data Wrangling, and analytical thinking. - Ability to work with a diverse global team across time zones.
