Data Engineer, VP

Role Overview: As a Data Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in simplifying our organization by developing innovative data-driven solutions through data pipelines, modeling, and ETL design. Your main goal will be to ensure commercial success while prioritizing customer safety and data security. You will be responsible for driving customer value by solving complex business problems and implementing the most suitable tools to build data solutions. Additionally, you will engage with the data engineering community to deliver opportunities and build a scalable data architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Build advanced automation for data engineering pipelines by eliminating manual stages - Incorporate new data techniques into the business through role modeling, training, and experiment design oversight - Provide clear insight into data platform costs to meet departmental cost-saving and income targets - Source new data using appropriate tooling - Develop solutions for streaming data ingestion and transformations in line with our streaming strategy Qualifications Required: - Strong understanding of data usage and dependencies - Experience in extracting value and features from large-scale data - Practical experience in programming languages - Knowledge of data and software engineering fundamentals - Experience in ETL technical design, Python, and PySpark for developing reusable data control services - Proficiency in data warehousing, SQL, and data modeling - Understanding of modern code development practices - Experience with cloud-based technology such as AWS to align with the Group's strategy for building applications and services - Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders,
