Role & responsibilities

Director, Data Engineering Lead

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of

  data engineers and architects

  .
• Foster a

  high-performance culture

  focused on innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
• Drive career development, coaching, and upskilling of team members.

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Architect and implement

  data lakes, data warehouses, and marts

  on modern cloud platforms.
• Lead design of

  scalable data pipelines, real-time and batch processing solutions

  .
• Oversee

  data governance, quality, lineage, and compliance

  .
• Ensure integration of

  structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data

  sources.

Cloud & Tools

• Leverage cloud technologies:

  AWS, Azure, or GCP

  .
• Work with modern platforms:

  Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks

  .
• Implement

  orchestration frameworks

  (Airflow, Luigi, etc.) and optimize performance.
• Support CI/CD adoption for

  data pipelines and infrastructure automation

  .

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with

  Product, Business, and Analytics teams

  to align data strategies with business goals.
• Manage global stakeholder expectations with clear communication.
• Ensure data solutions are aligned with

  enterprise architecture

  and compliance standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience

  : 12+ years in data engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Education

  : Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Technical Skills

  :
• Strong in

  ETL, data modeling, and pipeline development

  .
• Hands-on with

  Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses

  .
• Expertise in

  Spark, Hadoop, Kafka

  and programming languages (

  Python, Scala, SQL, Java

  ).
• Cloud exposure to

  AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP BigQuery

  .
• Proficiency in

  CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)

  .
