Data Engineer, Lead

As a Data Engineer at Health Catalyst, your primary focus will be on acquiring data from various sources within a Health Systems ecosystem. Leveraging Catalyst's Data Operating System, you will work closely with both technical and business aspects of the source systems, utilizing multiple technologies to extract the necessary data. Key Responsibilities include: - Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience with EMR/EHR systems - Leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes - Strong expertise in ETL tools and database principles - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a strong customer service orientation - Mentoring and guiding a team of data engineers to foster continuous learning and improvement - Monitoring and resolving data infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance - Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms - Implementing best practices for data governance, lineage, and compliance Desired Skills: - Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and Stored Procedure/T-SQL/SSIS - Familiarity with processing HL7 messages, CCD documents, and EDI X12 Claims files - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and the ability to work with technologies related to data acquisition - Proficiency in Hadoop and other Big Data Technologies - Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, architecture, and related technologies Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or a healthcare-related field - Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role - 2+ years of experience in the healthcare/technology industry If you are passionate about leveraging your expertise in data engineering to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our dynamic and innovative team at Health Catalyst.,
