As a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role as a key member of the Data consulting team, collaborating directly with partners and senior stakeholders of clients to design and implement big data and analytics solutions. Your communication and organization skills will be essential, along with a problem-solving attitude. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop data solutions within Big Data Azure and/or other cloud environments - Work with divergent data sets to meet the needs of Data Science and Data Analytics teams - Build and design Data Architectures using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data lake, Synapse - Collaborate with CTO, Product Owners, and Operations teams to deliver engineering roadmaps - Perform data mapping activities to define source data, target data, and required transformations - Aid the Data Analyst team in creating KPIs and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau - Conduct Data Integration, Transformation, and Modelling - Maintain relevant documentation and knowledge bases - Research and recommend new database products, services, and protocols **Qualifications Required:** - Technical expertise in emerging Big Data technologies such as Python, Spark, Hadoop, Clojure, Git, SQL, and Databricks - Proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI - Experience with cloud, container, and microservice infrastructures - Hands-on experience in data modeling, query techniques, and complexity analysis - Desirable skills include working in an agile environment, agile methodologies like Scrum, and collaborating with development teams and product owners - Certifications in relevant areas will be preferred In addition to the technical skills, you should possess essential personal traits such as the ability to work independently, effective communication with remote teams, timely communication and escalation of issues to higher management, and a curiosity to learn and apply emerging technologies to solve business problems.
