Data Engineer

 We are looking for a SQL-focused Data Engineer with strong expertise in database design, migration, optimization, and management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end data lifecycle management, including extraction, transformation, and ensuring high data quality, integrity, and availability. This role is best suited for someone passionate about relational databases and efficient data operations.
Key Responsibilities

 Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.

 Perform database migration across platforms (on-premises to cloud or between different SQL servers).

 Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes to improve database performance.

 Implement database normalization and schema design best practices.

 Develop and manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

 Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.

 Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.

 Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

 Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.

 Automate routine data tasks and contribute to process improvements.
Required Qualifications

 Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

 3 6 years of hands-on experience in SQL database development and administration.

 Strong expertise in SQL Server / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle (as per company stack).

 Experience with database migration projects (on-prem to cloud or cross-platform).

 Deep knowledge of SQL query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

 Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and relational database design.

 Proficiency in data extraction, reporting, and management.

 Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS, Pentaho, Talend, or similar).

 Basic knowledge of cloud database services ( Azure SQL, AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus.
