Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to support data platform modernization initiatives, with a focus on advisory and implementation within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in working with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and optionally MongoDB, along with hands-on experience in data pipeline development, cloud migration, and performance optimization.
In this role, you will be responsible for advising and supporting data engineering efforts on GCP, including services like Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery. You will play a key role in designing scalable data solutions, defining backup and disaster recovery strategies, and ensuring observability across data systems. A significant part of the role involves providing guidance on GCVE (Google Cloud VMware Engine) environments and creating robust, cloud-native data migration plans.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects and business stakeholders, to ensure data solutions align with business goals. Your input will help shape data architecture, optimize storage and compute costs, and ensure data integrity, security, and high availability.
