Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at our US-based healthcare technology company, you will play a key role in transforming primary care by automating workflows and unifying care teams to deliver person-centred, value-based care that radically improves patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Design scalable batch/streaming pipelines using Google Cloud and orchestration tools - Develop ETL/ELT processes across AWS Postgres, FHIR Store, and BigQuery - Build unified healthcare data models integrating EHR, claims, CRM, and third-party data - Implement transformations via dbt/OBT for AI, BI, and predictive analytics - Ensure data quality, lineage, validation, and HIPAA compliance - Collaborate with AI/ML, BI, and product teams - Monitor pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency - Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentoring Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters in CS, Data Engineering, or related field - 5+ years of experience in cloud-native data engineering - Proficiency in SQL, Python, Google Cloud Dataflow, Datastream or Airbyte, AWS Postgres, Google BigQuery, dbt/OBT - Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, X12, ICD, SNOMED) - Experience with HIPAA-compliant data governance and observability - Knowledge of data modelling (star/snowflake schemas) and cloud-native AWS/GCP architectures Please note that the working model for this position is 5 days from the office in Pune.
