DATA Engineer - Business Intelligence/Enterprise Application Integra

Role & responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Integration

• Design and optimize database objects for data ingestion and consumption in BI and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).
• Implement batch and event-driven, data workflows.

• Data Quality & Monitoring

• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to remediation strategies.
• Conduct data quality assessments and recommend improvements.

• BI Development & Optimization

• Enhance BI solutions for Supply Chain, Finance and HR through efficient data models and pipelines.
• Optimize SQL Server (T-SQL) queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning for reporting.

• Cloud & Big Data Technologies

• Assist in data integration and transformation using Azure Fabric, Talend and Databricks.
• Implement efficient ETL processes, including full/incremental data extraction and optimized data loads.

• Collaboration, Support and Maintenance

• Work closely with business analysts, system owners, and BI developers to align solutions with operational requirements.
• Provide production support, including troubleshooting and performance enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise

• Understanding of SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server) and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud and Low code data integration tooling (e.g. Talend).

• Business & Analytical Skills

• Understanding of Supply Chain, Finance and HR processes and their data implications.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

• Software Development methodology

• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical documentation and business requirements.
• Familiarity with UML Sequence diagrams for design and specification.

• Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with REST API implementation and event-driven data services.
• Exposure to job scheduling/orchestration tools (Automic UC4).
