Data Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL development , data warehousing , and Informatica , along with proficiency in Python for data processing and automation tasks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring high data quality and availability across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud . Build and manage data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics. Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and software engineers to understand data requirements. Implement data integration processes from various sources (structured and unstructured). Develop scripts in Python to support data transformation, automation, and validation tasks. Optimize performance of data workflows and address data quality issues. Ensure data security, compliance , and governance standards are met. Monitor and troubleshoot production jobs and provide support as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development . Proficient in Informatica (PowerCenter, Cloud, or similar tools). Strong experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schema, slowly changing dimensions, etc.). Hands-on programming experience in Python for data manipulation and automation. Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Experience working with large-scale data systems and performance tuning. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
