Position: Data Center Network Engineer
Location: India (Multiple Data Center Sites) Experience Required: 5-6 Years Department: Data Center Network Operations Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

This role is responsible for hands-on management, configuration, and troubleshooting of data center network infrastructure with emphasis on Arista switches and Palo Alto firewalls. The objective is to ensure optimal network performance, security, scalability, and reliability within mission-critical data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Arista switches (port-channel, VLAN, VRF, MLAG) in large-scale data center settings.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain Palo Alto firewall solutions, including security policies, threat prevention, and network segmentation.
  • Design and optimize network architecture for high availability, supporting enterprise protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF) and seamless integration with other vendor products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in real time, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to SLAs.
  • Perform regular audits, updates, and documentation for network and firewall configurations as per industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, migration, and escalation support within the data center ecosystem.
  • Drive automation initiatives and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and process diagrams.
  • Lead/participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery drills, and technical solutions review for complex networking environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years’ hands-on experience as a network engineer in data center or enterprise environments.
  • Expert knowledge of Arista platforms (EOS CLI, troubleshooting, advanced features).
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewall systems (PAN-OS, security policy design, VPN configuration).
  • Strong grasp of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking fundamentals, advanced routing protocols, and automation.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools (Wireshark, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
  • Ability to document processes and create clear network diagrams and SOPs.
  • Professional certifications (Arista ACE, Palo Alto PCNSE, CCNP, or related) preferred.
