Data Backup Engineer

As a Data Backup Engineer at AMSYS Group, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining data backup systems to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of data backup software and hardware. - Monitoring and overseeing daily backup operations to ensure data integrity and security, while responding to and resolving basic backup-related issues and inquiries. - Performing routine tests and audits of backup systems to identify potential errors or inefficiencies. - Collaborating with senior team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and working with other IT teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security. - Documenting and maintaining accurate records of backup procedures and processes, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans. - Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data backup and recovery, and participating in the design and implementation of data backup strategies for new projects. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred). - Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a Data Backup Engineer or a similar role. - Proficiency in backup technologies such as cloud-based solutions, with a strong understanding of disaster recovery principles and methodologies. - Familiarity with backup software and tools such as Veeam, Rubrik, N-able, Unitrends, Veritas, etc. (Rubrik preferred), as well as operating systems including Windows, Linux, MacOS. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. - Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, along with relevant certifications in Backup technologies, MCSE (server-related knowledge), and knowledge on NAS devices and File servers (DFS).
