Overview

The Data Analyst provides tactical, analytical, and technical support for Pru Communication activities. The analyst leverages data to gain key insight into business opportunities, and effectively presents these insights to management stakeholders. The analyst is also heavily involved with the distribution and successful delivery of periodic reporting using BI tools (PowerBI/Tableau) and PPT/Excel reporting

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of Internal & External News Channel Intelligence and Reporting
• Supports data needs related to business cadence such as weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews
• Works with the intelligence team, communication partners and engineers to deploy scalable consistent reporting solutions
• Identifies and analyzes errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions
• Supports partners with meaningful insights via ad-hoc and recurring analysis
• Communicates technical information and derived analysis insights to both technical and non-technical customers
• Builds dashboards and reports that enable leaders to understand business data and develop targeted action plans
• Provide relevant training to support Pru Comms Intelligence team members and customers

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, MS Excel and SQL
• Advanced analytical and data storytelling skills with attention to detail
• Stakeholder Management with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
• Knowledge / understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Hadoop, Azure & GCP)
• Knowledge / understanding of ETL tools and processes
• Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
• Professional image with the ability to form good partner relationships across functions
• Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes

Experience

• Minimum five years of experience in technology / data related fields
• Demonstrated experience in communicating business insights visually
• Demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field
