Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our data and technology teams by analyzing data requirements and producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation. This role is responsible for writing technical requirements, data dictionaries, and other documentation that ensures accurate communication between business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with excellent writing abilities to translate complex data concepts into understandable and actionable documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical requirements documentation for data projects and systems.
• Create and update data dictionaries, ensuring clear definitions, data types, and usage guidelines for datasets.
• Translate complex data structures and processes into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
• Ensure documentation aligns with business needs and technical standards.
• Support data governance initiatives by maintaining accurate metadata and documentation.
• Assist in validating data quality and consistency through analysis and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams by providing clear documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Communication, or related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis and technical writing, preferably in a data-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and data management concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience creating technical requirements documents and data dictionaries.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
