Data Analyst

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Understand the data model and perform analytical operations on datasets.
• Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis purposes.
• Perform data mining to identify meaningful patterns and insights.
• Develop logic to extract business KPIs and store them in the Lakehouse environment.
• Regularly monitor and update analytics KPIs.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and present descriptive statistics and insights to domain experts. Collaborate to develop and test hypotheses.
• Create reports and visualizations through dashboards and storyboards to communicate solutions and findings.
• Maintain documentation and version control of all sprint artifacts.

Technical Skills / Experience:

Essential:

• Strong programming and analytical skills.
• Expertise in SQL and Python; familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels, and Matplotlib libraries.
• Hands-on experience writing code for extracting KPIs from raw data.
• Experience with data cataloging tools like Unity Catalog or AWS Glue for data preparation and transformation.
• Working knowledge of Databricks SQL Warehouse or AWS Redshift.
• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Proficient with dashboard tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills for presenting insights.
• Proficient in technical writing and documentation using Confluence.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools like JIRA and code versioning with GitHub.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks on AWS Bedrock or Mosaic AI.
• Understanding of large language models such as Claude and ChatGPT.
• Experience with data lakehouse platforms like Databricks or Teradata.
• Exposure to connected vehicle data analytics (GPS, on-board sensor data from powertrain, body, chassis systems).
• Experience with Spark or other distributed computing frameworks.
