The Department of Data Analytics at CMS plays a pivotal role in transforming raw institutional data into meaningful insights to guide academic, administrative, and operational decision-making across over 20 campuses. As a Data Analyst at CMS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of leveraging data as a strategic asset. Your responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data from various systems such as ERPNext, HRMS, Academic Portals, and Finance modules to generate actionable insights for management, leadership, and departments throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Data Management and Integration - Collect, clean, and validate data - Ensure data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across multiple systems - Collaborate with IT and ERP teams to improve data capture and automate reporting - Maintain data dictionaries and documentation for analytical purposes - Data Analysis and Reporting - Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends and patterns - Develop dashboards and reports for academic results, staff performance, purchases, and operations - Create automated MIS reports for top management, principals, and departmental heads - Support data-driven initiatives across Finance, HR, and Academics - Visualization and Communication - Design clear and impactful dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel - Present insights through storytelling to help non-technical users understand key findings - Support monthly and quarterly review meetings with data visualizations and analytical reports - Collaboration and Process Improvement - Collaborate with ERPNext developers, IT executives, and academic teams for smooth data flow - Identify and recommend process improvements based on data analysis - Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with CMS policies and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA 2023) Technical Skills Required: - Proficiency in MS Excel with Advanced Functions, Pivot Tables, and Power Query - Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio - Intermediate SQL skills for data extraction and transformation - Familiarity with Python libraries such as pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly Analytical and Soft Skills: - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities - High attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights - Collaborative mindset for working with IT, academics, and management teams Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field - 1-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, MIS Analyst, or Business Analyst - Certification in Data Analytics, Power BI, Excel, SQL, or Python is an advantage By joining CMS, you will have the opportunity to be part of a pioneering Data Analytics Department in the world's largest school, work on high-impact institutional projects that directly influence education and operations, collaborate with teams across multiple departments, develop dashboards and analytics frameworks used by top management, and gain exposure to large-scale ERP data and real-time institutional analytics.
