Lotus Petal Foundation has over 13 years of grassroots-level expertise in handling challenges faced by underprivileged children and transforming their lives through education, nutrition and skill development & livelihood support. The Foundation focuses on the holistic development of the child thus preparing them to integrate into mainstream society, leaving a long-lasting impact on the lives of the students and their families.

.Activity list and Key Responsibilities :-

Instructional Responsibilities:

1. Take dance classes to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced

2. Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance curriculum.

3. Develop individualized lesson plans that address the physical, creative, and emotional needs of students.

4. Integrate dance techniques with music, rhythm, and other performing arts disciplines.

1. Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Foster a collaborative atmosphere that encourages student participation, creativity, and self-expression.
  • Manage classroom behavior, establishing clear expectations and maintaining discipline in a constructive manner.

2. Student Performance:

  • Organize and prepare students for performances, recitals, or school showcases.
  • Choreograph dance routines for school events, ensuring all students have the opportunity to perform.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students in developing their performance skills.
  • Organize rehearsals, coordinate costume selections, and assist with set design or staging as necessary.

3. Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Monitor and assess students' progress in dance technique, creativity, and performance.
  • Provide feedback on individual student performance and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Write and submit progress reports for students and communicate with parents or guardians as required.

4. Professional Development:

  • Stay current with trends and best practices in dance education.
  • Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and other relevant training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, especially those in the arts department, to integrate dance with other subjects (e.g., music, theater, visual arts).

5. Extracurricular Involvement:

  • Supervise or lead after-school dance clubs, competitions, or extracurricular performances.
  • Encourage students to participate in local or regional dance festivals and competitions.
  • Foster a sense of community within the school through dance initiatives, such as school assemblies or outreach programs.

Educational Qualification :-

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Education, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience :-

  • Prior teaching experience with atleast 4 years (preferably in a school or educational setting) is highly desirable.
  • Experience choreographing dance routines and managing performances
  • Preference will be given to Female candidate.
