D_Lead-Infrastructure Operations_Linux

You will

• Perform Linux system administration tasks using Incidents, Changes, Service requests, Jira Tasks and work emails.


• Perform OS Installations, Tool Installations, configuration and documentation.


• Work closely with other Operations teams for quick resolution of issues


• Adherence to CPI Process.


• Attending, CAB, Production calls, Problem calls


• Ready to join Incident calls during priority issues.


• Perform Monthly patch management process.


• Adherence to Shift Lead Responsibilities.


• Adopting best practices for Stability and efficiency.


• Automate tasks wherever possible.


• Create, Modify and update SOPs on regular basis.


• Perform On-call Responsibilities.


• Proactive check of System stability.


• Work closely with Project Manager, scrum master when assigned to projects and adherence.

• Perform Migration tasks when requested by project team.


• Working with Vendors for technical issues


• Willing to work in 24/7 Support

Your skills

Must Have:

• An in-depth knowledge of Linux OS: RedHat Server management: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 8 9 - System Administration.


• Red Hat Satellite 6.12 and above.


• Basic AIX knowledge.


• Knowledge of AIP, GIT, LDAP


• Scripting - Bash, Ansible

• Perform investigation of system performance issues


• Work in Network Bonding, Firewall, systemd/systemctl, ftp/file shares.


• Ability to develop Shell and Ansible scripts.


• Rescue VM s when crashed using ISO images and backup.


• Knowledge of protocols, such as DNS, HTTP/S, LDAP, SMTP, FTP/s, SFTP and SNMP

Desirable:

• SQL or any DB Knowledge (executing queries, database navigation)


• Experience in using cloud products like configuring load balancer, provisioning server, network configuration etc.


• Certifications - RHCE, Red Hat Satellite


• ITIL certification and experience in working using Agile methodologies.


• experience using application - IBM Sterling File Gateway


• IBM Sterling Connect:Direct knowledge


• Familiarity with Powershell scripts


• VMware vSphere knowledge.


• Tools - ServiceNow, Dynatrace


• Knowledge on automation framework/language/engine like ansible


• Knowledge on IBM Control center, secure+, secure proxy, perimeter servers.


• Knowledge on Rest API services offered by IBM MFT suite for the product maintenance.


• Experience with cloud environments, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS.


• Experience in working with Kubernetes, Storage (blob/aws s3) and other cloud deployments.
