Cyber Security Second Line of Defense

As a Cyber Security Engineer at UBS, you will play a crucial role in transforming the organization into a more secure environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Possessing expertise in mainframe operating systems such as z/OS - Demonstrating a thorough understanding of mainframe security features like RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) - Implementing mainframe security protocols and best practices - Utilizing mainframe security tools and utilities effectively - Having a basic understanding of programming languages like CARLa, COBOL, PL/I used on mainframes - Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as threat analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response - Identifying and mitigating security risks specific to mainframe systems - Ensuring compliance with relevant standards like PCI, SOX and implementing security controls to meet compliance requirements You will be part of the Mainframe & Midrange Stream team in India, focusing on Mainframe and Midrange Cyber Security with a specific emphasis on Internal & External Threat elements. Additionally, you will collaborate with the wider UBS CISO/DISO elements to align security controls as per organizational directives and policies while working closely with the Risk & Audit team. To excel in this role, you should have: - A bachelor's or master's degree focusing on Cyber Security - Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry with a strong understanding and application of Cyber Security knowledge in Threat Monitoring & Prevention - Curiosity to learn new technologies and practices, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Strong communication skills, both in presentations and technical writing - Fluency in English - Certification in the Cyber Security domain Furthermore, soft skills such as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently will be essential for success in this role.
