Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Cyber Security Lead Analyst to support the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) function within Cigna s Information Protection (CIP) team. This role is responsible for enhancing the organization s cybersecurity posture by aligning with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Acting as a bridge between the business and global CIP teams, the analyst will help enforce CIP controls across infrastructure, applications, and third-party environments. The role also involves identifying, assessing, and remediating security risks through both manual and automated methods. Additional responsibilities include supporting dashboard reporting, coordinating incident response efforts, conducting risk assessments, and contributing to CIP-led initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have broad cybersecurity expertise, practical experience with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework , and strong communication and innovation skills suited to a dynamic, regulated environment.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary cybersecurity liaison, representing the BISO function.
  • Collaborate with business and CIP teams to embed security into business processes and technology initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify gaps, and drive remediation plans in alignment with enterprise security standards.
  • Perform regular risk & activity reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for SLT.
  • Create Pitch decks for monthly/ quarterly Operational review meeting with the senior leadership.
  • Collect and analyze data to develop insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Drive security awareness and training programs tailored to the business context.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in security practices.
  • Assist CIP and IT teams to implement standard security solutions and capabilities that are aligned with business, technology and threat drivers.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Information security, reporting and analytics.
Skills Required:
  • Qualified candidates will typically have 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably in the healthcare or regulated industries.
  • 4+ years of work experience in Data analytics preferably in security operations or security governance, risk and compliance.
  • Proven experience with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001).
  • Demonstrated ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of data presented in cybersecurity domains (Vulnerability report, Pentest reports, Phishing data etc.)
  • Technical Writing Skills and executive reporting ability
  • Understanding Security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and common attacks.
  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
  • Data visualization skills: Expertise in using data visualization tools to create effective reports and dashboards.
  • Data analysis tools: Proficiency in using tools like SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data analysis software.
  • Communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve data issues.
  • Teamwork skills: Ability to collaborate with other team members.

Education and Training Required:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and other regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001).
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar.
