Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert-level L3 support for Next Gen systems in the macro trade capture division. - Conduct deep hands-on investigation and debugging of complex production issues. - Step through code, analyze logs, and perform root cause analysis for system incidents. - Work closely with RTB (Real-Time Business) teams to ensure smooth transition and knowledge sharing. - Identify and implement improvements to reduce support burden during rapid application changes. - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and knowledge sharing. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities. - Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing practices. Qualifications Required: - Proven application support experience in enterprise environments. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues. - SQL proficiency for database investigation and analysis. - Interest in expanding technical skills including Python and code analysis. - Motivation to work primarily from a support perspective rather than a development focus. - Experience with trading systems or financial applications is desirable. - Knowledge of Java applications and troubleshooting is a plus. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools is advantageous. - Understanding of distributed systems architecture is beneficial.
