Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Plan cutting tools based on machining requirements.
Manage procurement of cutting tools, holders, and related accessories.
Perform negotiation with suppliers for cost-effective tool sourcing.
Troubleshoot tool-related issues on the shop floor.
Operate and utilize pre-setting machines for tool measurements.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor tool consumption.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CFT) for all tool engineering activities.
Ensure tool planning and processes comply with AS9100 standards
Apply knowledge of CNC machines and aerospace materials in tool planning
Support production teams in resolving tool-performance issues.

Qualification:

BE/Diploma/B. Tech or any relevant field

Experience:

3-5 years

Technical Competencies:

Strong knowledge of cutting tools and holders
Understanding of CNC machines and machining processes
Experience in tool pre-setting machine operation
Knowledge of aerospace materials
Familiarity with AS9100 standards
Inventory control and consumption monitoring
Tool procurement and vendor negotiation
Shop-floor troubleshooting capability
