Customer Engineer

As a Service Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for performing standard service activities through Tier I with assistance, including routine preventative maintenance within established timeframes. You will respond to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and verifying the operational quality of system equipment. Your role will involve following all checklists and procedures, ensuring correct revisions of procedures and schematics, and striving to perform Best Known Methods (BKMs) assisted by using knowledge management systems and following all IP guidelines. Additionally, you will be able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems, understand and support escalation plans, and support seniors for Day-Day CM resolution. You will seek to learn and understand fundamental theories, read and understand circuit diagrams, and receive training in the primary product and platform. Furthermore, you will apply diagnostic techniques and use documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, representing Applied Materials to the customer with good customer service skills and maintaining a professional demeanor while displaying respect for the customer and complying with all safety procedures consistently. Working in a clean room environment will necessitate the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
