Department: Field Operations Reports To: Service Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Elevator Maintenance Engineer to join our service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways. The role involves regular preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring all vertical transportation systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on elevators, escalators, and other lifting systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues. Respond promptly to service calls and breakdowns. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, building management, and internal teams. Recommend system upgrades and improvements when necessary. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and practices. Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response duty. Qualifications & Skills: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. 25 years of experience in elevator/escalator maintenance (OEM or non-OEM background acceptable). Knowledge of major elevator brands (e.g., Mitsubishi, OTIS, KONE, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp, etc.). Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical diagrams. Familiarity with AMC and breakdown service documentation. Excellent physical condition and willingness to work in varied environments. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license (preferred). Preferred Certifications (if applicable): Lift/Elevator Technician License (if required by state/local authority) OEM Technical Training Certificates (optional) Working Conditions: Field-based role with travel to customer sites.
