Basic Function
Performs custodial duties to provide for care, cleaning and routine maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures according to established work rules. Reports to Custodial Work Supervisor, Building and Grounds Supervisor/Superintendent, or other designated supervisor.
Examples Of Duties

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes to renew floor surfaces; cleans and shampoos carpets.Cleans, dusts, and waxes furniture and fixtures; shampoos upholstered furniture; washes walls; cleans glass and mirrors; removes and hangs drapes.Empties and cleans trash receptacles.Changes light bulbs and cleans light fixtures.Scrubs, cleans, and sanitizes restrooms and shower facilities; replenishes supplies.Moves and arranges furniture and equipment; may set up rooms for functions and events.Maintains a clean and orderly supply closet; monitors supply levels and reports supply needs to supervisor.May perform minor maintenance; may assist with painting.Reports evidence of fire, illegal entry, and theft of property.May remove snow and ice from walkways; may assist with mowing; may pick up paper and other debris in area surrounding buildings.May train and direct student or temporary employees; may participate in training new employees.Performs related duties as required.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Exposed to dirt, odors, heights, cleaning chemicals, and variable temperatures and weather conditions; requires moderate physical effort to include frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds (e.g., moving freight, cabinets, cases of supplies); frequent stooping and bending, climbing ladders, and extended periods of standing and walking; may work varied shifts and hours to include occasional weekends and holidays; may require on- and off-campus travel.

PART TIME -7:00am - 1:00pm Monday - Thursday7:00am - 11:00am Friday
