Culinary Associate

As a Food Preparation Associate at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, your main responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, which includes portioning, chopping, and storing food. Additionally, you will wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards. You will also be expected to prepare cold foods and operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Testing foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently and monitoring food quality will be crucial aspects of your role. Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area is essential, and you will be responsible for washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Adhering to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures is mandatory. Reporting maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe work conditions to the manager is required. Ensuring that appliances and food temperatures are correct is also part of your duties. To be eligible for this position, you should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred, although supervisory experience is not required. No specific license or certification is necessary for this role.
