Culinary Associate - Comissary

Role Overview: As a Food Preparation Associate at Courtyard Mumbai International Airport, your main responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will be required to follow recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists to ensure the dishes are prepared correctly. Additionally, you will be in charge of operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food - Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables - Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients - Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklist - Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers - Test foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently - Monitor food quality during preparation - Set-up and break down work station - Follow company and safety procedures - Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area - Ensure appliances and food temperatures are correct - Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles - Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members - Adhere to quality expectations and standards - Perform other job duties as requested by Supervisors Qualifications Required: - Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience Additional Information: At Courtyard, they are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
