Crop Lead-Vegetable

As a Seed Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the production of high-quality seeds for vegetable crops to ensure that the seed quality meets industry standards. Your role will involve long-range and short-range forecasting and planning of crops, developing and managing crop production schedules, and implementing best practices for crop rotation, irrigation, and fertilization to optimize seed yield. You will be monitoring and analyzing crop growth and quality, identifying and resolving issues such as pest infestations, diseases, and environmental stress. Collaborating with agronomists and researchers, you will test and implement new seed varieties and improve genetic traits. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, sales, and marketing to align production with market needs. You will collect and analyze field data on crop performance, soil conditions, and seed quality, preparing reports and presentations on seed production progress, crop yield forecasts, and potential improvements for stakeholders. Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards for seed production, implementing safety measures for workers in the field, and ensuring proper handling of seeds and other agricultural materials will be part of your responsibilities. You will also manage crop production budgets, monitor inventory, ensure proper seed storage, quality control, and distribution channels to ensure cost efficiency and resource optimization. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in seed production and a focus on the Seeds job function, this role is based in Delhi/Hyderabad.
