The role involves building, transforming, validating, and automating complex geospatial datasets and dashboards to support operational and analytical needs. Candidates will work closely with internal teams, local authorities (LA), and HMLR specs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Integration & Transformation Build ETL pipelines using FME to ingest and transform data from Idox/CCF systems. Create Custom Transformers in FME to apply reusable business rules. Use Python (standalone or within FME) for custom transformations, date parsing, and validations. Conduct data profiling to assess completeness, consistency, and accuracy. 2. Spatial Data Handling Manage and query spatial datasets using PostgreSQL/PostGIS . Handle spatial formats like GeoPackage, GML, GeoJSON, Shapefiles . Fix geometry issues like overlaps or invalid polygons using FME or SQL . Ensure proper coordinate system alignment (e.g., EPSG:27700). 3. Automation & Workflow Orchestration Use FME Server/FME Cloud to automate and monitor ETL workflows. Schedule batch processes via CI/CD, Cron, or Python . Implement audit trails and logs for all data processes and rule applications. 4. Dashboard & Reporting Integration Write SQL views and aggregations to support dashboard visualizations.
