Credit Manager-Loan Against Property

Role Overview: As a Credit Manager specializing in Loan Against Property (LAP) products within the Retail Underwriting department, your primary responsibility will be to assess, evaluate, review, and approve credit proposals. You will be required to maintain service level deliverables as agreed with counterparts and effectively manage the portfolio, including monitoring, early warning identification, deferral tracking, renewals, and developing appropriate account strategies in alignment with the bank's risk appetite. Additionally, you will be expected to manage interpersonal relationships with peers. Key Responsibilities: - Underwrite secured and unsecured proposals for loan customers in adherence to policies and procedures to meet SLAs and manage business volumes effectively. - Supervise a team of credit underwriters and provide necessary guidelines and support. - Conduct personal discussions with customers to evaluate their creditworthiness. - Proactively manage front-end delinquencies by contacting customers upon first presentation. - Ensure completion of credit/KYC documents through telephonic, field, and collateral visits verification. - Collaborate with the sales team to achieve targets and maintain SLA compliance. - Uphold credit policy adherence to accepted standards.
