As a Credit eTrading Dev at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape and ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Spearheading the evolution of digital offerings by utilizing cutting-edge technology - Designing, developing, and improving software to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities - Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies - Participating in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing - Staying informed of industry technology trends and actively contributing to the organization's technology communities Qualifications required for this role include: Basic/ Essential Qualifications: - Hands-on experience with Core Java concepts such as multi-threading, garbage collection, data structure, and oops concepts - Proficiency in Spring framework, specifically spring boot, and a good understanding of spring core concepts - Experience with JMS and middleware technologies like Kafka, with a preference for knowledge in exchange connectivity development using FIX protocol in the Investment banking domain - Experience in developing low latency, high throughput applications Desirable skillsets/ good to have: - Knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, and Maven - Experience using Gitlab for code repo and CI/CD processes - Proficiency in Unix commands This role will be based out of Pune. In addition to the technical skills, you will be expected to adhere to secure coding practices, implement effective unit testing, and ensure that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. As an Assistant Vice President at Barclays, you will be responsible for advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and ensuring operational effectiveness. You will lead a team, set objectives, and coach employees to deliver consistently excellent results.
