Provider Enrollment: They facilitate the enrollment of healthcare providers in insurance networks and government healthcare programs by ensuring that all necessary paperwork and credentials are in order.Compliance: Credentialing Specialists ensure that healthcare providers comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as with the organization's policies and standards.Application Processing: They process applications for medical staff privileges or employment, which typically involves gathering and assessing information about the provider's background and qualifications.Verification of References: Credentialing Specialists contact references and previous employers to verify the provider's work history and obtain feedback on their performance and professionalism.License and Certification Monitoring: They continuously monitor the status of licenses and certifications to ensure that they are up to date.
