Job Overview: We are seeking a Creative Arts Facilitator & Content Developer who is passionate about using theatre, storytelling, and puppetry as tools for transformative social and emotional learning and development. The ideal candidate has experience working with groups, ideally in schools with young children and is skilled in designing engaging lesson plans and facilitation manuals for educators. This role requires a blend of hands-on facilitation, content creation, and collaboration with schools and educators to ensure impactful learning experiences. Key Responsibilities: Facilitation & Training Conduct interactive storytelling and shadow puppet theatre sessions in schools, focusing on SEL development and subject-based learning. Use creative arts techniques (drama, puppetry, movement, music) to foster collaboration, empathy, and self-expression in young learners. Train teachers and facilitators to implement shadow play-based learning in classrooms. Gather feedback from students, teachers, and parents to refine session structures for better engagement and impact. Content Development Design lesson plans, facilitation manuals, and training materials that integrate shadow puppetry into school curricula. Develop structured activities aligned with educational and SEL goals, ensuring age-appropriate learning outcomes. Create visually appealing presentations, guides, and resources for educators. Collaborate with the R&D team to innovate new puppetry techniques and storytelling formats for classroom use. Community Engagement & Outreach Assist in conducting demonstrations, workshops, and events to showcase the Shadow Play Program Develop engaging social media and educational content to promote our programs. Represent Penumbra Mactrics in schools, cultural festivals, and education conferences to expand outreach. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Performing Arts, Psychology, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in facilitation, creative arts education, or theatre-based learning. Passion for working with young children and using art for social-emotional development. Strong background in storytelling, puppetry, drama, or expressive arts. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum design, and training educators. Ability to engage diverse learners and create a safe, inclusive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, and design tools for content creation. Willingness to travel for school sessions, workshops, and events.
